Google Business Pages is pretty awesome, the only down side to it all is that you need to invite people to your business page, which is no different in real life, these things take time, and a great deal of networking with folks, because just like in real life, people are going to go with those whom they trust.

Make sure to join Google, either the gmail, or open a google account, prior to attempting to create a Google+ Business page, or Google plus account.
